A precise operational system

The Holy Sites Train operates according to five different operational movements, which are designed in accordance with the patterns of pilgrims’ movement between the Sites according to the rituals they perform. It is considered one of the basic pillars of the movement of pilgrims within the Holy Sites, as the train carries out more than (2000) trips during the Hajj season to transport more than two million passengers. Within a precise operational system that contributes to crowd management with high efficiency.

It was completed "He walked" Maintenance work and careful testing of all project facilities and stations, to ensure their readiness and compliance with safety requirements and quality standards, as the train connects nine stations distributed among the sites of Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, and the last station in Mina reaches the fourth floor of the Jamarat Bridge, which enhances the flow of pilgrims’ movement and safety.

The Holy Sites Train contributes to facilitating the movement of the guests of God between the Holy Sites with high efficiency, as it operates with a fleet consisting of (17) trains with a capacity It reaches (3,000) passengers per train, with a mass transport capacity exceeding (72) thousand passengers per hour, which enhances the flow of movement and reduces congestion within the Holy Sites, and contributes to raising safety levels and improving the pilgrims’ transportation experience.

Operation of the Holy Sites Train

The operation of the Holy Sites Train comes within an integrated system to serve the guests of God, contributing to raising the efficiency of movement, managing crowds, and achieving the highest levels of safety, in a way that supports the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the program. Serving the guests of God, by providing effective and reliable transportation solutions that contribute to facilitating the movement of pilgrims between the Holy Sites with ease and reassurance.

It is noteworthy that the operation and maintenance of the Holy Sites train was entrusted to the Saudi Railways. "He walked" Pursuant to Cabinet Resolution No. (538) dated 9/16/1440 AH, within the framework of enhancing operating efficiency and improving the quality of services provided to the guests of God.
