Saif bin Zayed inaugurates the 9th session of the International Exhibition for National Security and Risk Prevention (ISNR)

ABU DHABI, 20th May, 2019 (WAM) – Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, opened the ninth and largest session in the history of the International Exhibition for National Security and Risk Prevention (ISNR) and witnessed the official launch of the first edition of the Abu Dhabi Global Sustainable Security Summit, which is organized by the Ministry of Interior and Rabdan Academy, in cooperation with the ADNEC Group, with the participation of an elite group of leaders, experts and decision-makers from various countries of the world to discuss the future of security. Readiness and sustainability, and the event will continue until May 21, 2026 at the ADNEC Center Abu Dhabi.

The ADNEC Group, one of the Modon companies, is organizing the exhibition in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, and in strategic partnership with the Abu Dhabi Police General Command, under the slogan “We strive today…to build tomorrow’s security,” to form a leading international platform to enhance cooperation and exchange of knowledge, by bringing together government agencies, law enforcement agencies, experts and specialists from around the world with the aim of developing national capabilities in the field of security at the regional and international levels.

Following the opening, His Highness toured the exhibition, during which he was briefed on the latest solutions and advanced technologies in the fields of security monitoring of vital facilities, cybersecurity, protection of vital infrastructure, and law enforcement solutions, in addition to innovations that contribute to the development of the sectors of national security, civil defense, and emergency services.

His Highness visited the National Guard wing, where he was briefed on the heavy search and rescue mechanism “Al-Toud”, which is a multi-tasking mechanism with advanced capabilities that include carrying out search and rescue operations in confined spaces, strengthening damaged buildings and facilities, extracting detainees in road accidents, in addition to carrying out demolition, crushing and rescue operations in torrential waters.

His Highness was briefed on advanced systems and technologies provided by the Supreme Council for National Security, which included the monitoring and control center and advanced operating rooms, in addition to the “Falcon Eye” system, which connects cameras deployed in traffic signals and public and private facilities within a unified visual surveillance system that supports central operating rooms.

The mobile operations room and aerial and field monitoring techniques that contribute to securing major events, areas with security challenges, or that lack a fixed infrastructure for surveillance were reviewed by providing immediate field data that supports the operations of various security and service sectors.

His Highness also visited the pavilion of Incas, one of the leading companies in the manufacture of armored vehicles, which showcased a specialized group of armored mobility solutions designed to confront realistic threats and enhance security and operational readiness.

His Highness was briefed on the advanced and integrated security technologies provided by Eye on Technology, in addition to the latest innovations that contribute to building a smarter, safer and more flexible security system.

His Highness visited the “Brisight” company’s pavilion, where he learned about its latest solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, including the “Agentic AI” assistant system, in addition to smart systems that support anti-drug operations and enhance the efficiency of police and security work. He also viewed the drone that “Streight” is displaying.

His Excellency Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of ISNR 2026, said: “The exhibition is a strategic platform that brings together an elite group of leaders, institutions and innovators in the security sector from around the world to exchange knowledge, build strategic partnerships, and accelerate the adoption of the most advanced security solutions. Over the course of nine sessions, this event has developed into a global forum that contributes to formulating policies, advancing the wheel of innovation, and raising levels of security readiness. “This will shape the future of regional and international security.”

His Excellency Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNEC Group, said: “The organization of the ninth edition of ISNR reflects ADNEC Group’s strategic commitment to developing platforms that bring together government agencies, decision makers, sector leaders and innovators in the field of technology, in order to build partnerships and solutions that will shape the security landscape of the future. The summit was opened with a speech delivered by His Excellency Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, in which he said: “The summit comes at a time when security challenges constitute profound transformations in the international scene at various levels, and it is very significant that the sisterly United Arab Emirates embraces this summit, which has established itself as a model of a state that does not view security as merely a system of procedures, but rather an investment in people.” And a long-term vision for years of stability… It has become clear today that the Arabian Gulf region is no longer just a geographic system or a vital corridor, but rather one of the pillars on which the stability of the entire world depends.”

He added: “The Kingdom of Bahrain and the sister State of the United Arab Emirates have proven, in the midst of a very complex regional environment, that building sustainable security is not achieved by the logic of temporary reactions, but rather through a long-term strategic vision with a state mentality based on moderation, the rule of law, investment in people, and rapprochement between security and development… But what distinguishes the experience of the two brotherly countries is that they do not view security as the responsibility of the security services only, but rather a general responsibility that includes institutions, legislation, and society.”

His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, delivered the opening speech on the first day of the summit, on “The Future of National Governance: Technology, Trust, and Strategic Readiness,” in which he said: “We meet today at a precise moment in which the nature of risks changes, as well as the nature of opportunities… Security is no longer a traditional concept measured by the extent of response, but rather has become a complex system measured by the extent of prediction, speed of adaptation, and the depth of integration between humans and technology, and hence this The summit comes as a platform that redefines the pillars of comprehensive security and its future dimensions. The world has moved from governance based on procedures to governance based on data, and from institutions managed by sequential decisions to decisions managed by artificial intelligence and immediate processing of data. At the heart of this transformation, advanced technology goes beyond advanced technology as an auxiliary tool to become the infrastructure of the government mind.

The program included a dialogue session entitled “Leading the Future: How Countries Protect Their Stability in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” which discussed the transformations witnessed in the concept of national security in light of the rapid development of modern technologies and artificial intelligence, with the participation of His Excellency Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and His Excellency Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, while the session was moderated by Dr. Faisal Muhammad Al-Bakri, Advisor. Vocational education at Rabdan Academy.

The summit also witnessed a session entitled “Command Rooms: Strategic Decision-Making in Crises Supported by Artificial Intelligence,” which addressed the role of advanced technology and analytics in supporting command centers and crisis management, with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, Director of the National Operations Center at the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, His Excellency Oleksandr Balanutsa, Ambassador of Ukraine to the UAE and former Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, and Retired Major General Ben Kite, former Director of Defense Intelligence in the United Kingdom. The session was moderated by Dr. Warren Chen, Head of the Defense and Security Program at Rabdan Academy.

In the preparedness sessions, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Cybersecurity Council of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, and His Excellency Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, discussed the most prominent challenges related to cybersecurity and advanced technologies, and the importance of investing in building national capabilities capable of keeping pace with future threats, while the session was moderated by Saif Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, and Director of the Studies Branch at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security.

The first day concluded with the holding of the first strategic roundtable entitled “Crisis Governance Supported by Artificial Intelligence,” in addition to a number of simultaneous workshops that focused on artificial intelligence and data analysis in the field of security and societal preparedness, enhancing national resilience in crises, operational integration and joint leadership.

Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi stressed that the Abu Dhabi Global Sustainable Security Summit 2026 embodies the vision of the wise leadership in consolidating the position of the United Arab Emirates as a leading global power that anticipates the future of security and preparedness, by adopting an advanced model of security based on proactiveness, integration and innovation, and employing artificial intelligence technologies and smart solutions to predict risks and manage them before they occur.

His Excellency pointed out that the summit represents an important international platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation between institutions, security agencies, decision-makers and experts from various countries of the world, which contributes to the development of more efficient and sustainable security systems and the ability to confront challenges and rapid changes.

He added that the UAE, thanks to its future vision and approach based on innovation and strategic partnerships, continues to strengthen its position as a global reference in the fields of security, sustainability and preparedness, by leading international dialogue and building cross-border partnerships to confront common challenges, including cybersecurity, crisis management, and protecting communities and vital infrastructure.

His Excellency Salem Saeed Al Saeedi, Vice President of Rabdan Academy, stressed that the Abu Dhabi Global Sustainable Security Summit represents a new international platform for strategic dialogue on the future of security, readiness and resilience, noting that the summit brings together an elite group of leaders, experts and decision-makers from around the world to discuss the rapid transformations taking place in the global security landscape, and explore innovative solutions that support the building of more integrated and sustainable systems capable of adapting to the challenges of the future.
