"Emsteel" Fires high-performance rebar "ES600" To support infrastructure projects in the country

Dubai, May 22 / WAM / The Emsteel Group announced the launch of high-strength rebar “ES600”, which is the highest grade of rebar currently produced in the UAE.

The “ES600” was developed to support modern infrastructure projects, towers and high-rise construction projects, as it combines advanced performance and efficient use of materials, supporting the country’s trends towards developing a more sustainable and flexible infrastructure.

The product reflects the Emsteel Group’s approach towards developing advanced national industrial products that keep pace with the highest international standards, enhance the competitiveness of the UAE industrial sector and support the process of economic development in the long term.

The official launch of the “ES600” product took place during an evening organized by the Emsteel Group in Dubai yesterday entitled “Building the Future of the UAE Together,” with the participation and presence of an elite group of leaders, experts and representatives of the construction, engineering and industrial sectors in the country. It highlighted the vital role of advanced manufacturing and modern engineering solutions in supporting urban development and enhancing the readiness of infrastructure for the requirements of the future.

The launch of “ES600” strengthens Emsteel’s position as a pivotal national partner in supporting industrial development in the UAE, as the product embodies the group’s orientation towards enhancing national industrial capabilities and developing advanced manufacturing solutions that keep pace with the country’s future aspirations and are consistent with the objectives of the industrial strategy and the “300 Billion” project.

“ES600” is certified according to the highest UAE and international standards and specifications, and was developed to be an advanced national solution that supports the construction sector’s direction towards raising engineering efficiency, improving the use of materials, and enhancing the long-term durability of projects.

The product also contributes to reducing iron consumption by a rate ranging between 18% and 24% depending on the nature of the project and design requirements, in addition to reducing transportation and logistical services needs and reducing iron density at work sites, which supports the implementation of projects with greater efficiency and better quality.

By improving the efficiency of material use and reducing transportation and logistics requirements, Emsteel expects that the use of every 10,000 tons of ES600 will contribute to reducing about 12,107 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The product has also shown the ability to reduce emissions by about one ton of carbon dioxide per floor in towers, which reflects its role in supporting sustainable building solutions and enhancing the sector’s trends towards more efficient and sustainable projects.

The product is currently used in a wide range of residential, mixed-use, infrastructure projects and prominent urban projects in the UAE, which reflects the high confidence in its engineering efficiency and its ability to meet the requirements of large and complex projects.

The total quantities provided for existing and confirmed projects exceeded more than 200 thousand tons, distributed among high-rise towers, integrated urban complexes, and specific projects, while some individual projects account for tens of thousands of tons, which reflects the increasing presence of the product in the largest construction projects in the country.
