Al Qasimia University celebrates the graduation of 210 of its students

Sharjah, 24 May / WAM / The university celebrated the graduation of the eleventh batch of its students, during an official ceremony held at the University City Theater in Sharjah under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Founder of the University.

The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 210 male and female students from the university’s five colleges, who completed the graduation requirements for the spring semester of the academic year 2025-2026, which are the colleges of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Arts and Humanities, Economics and Management, Communication, and the Holy Quran.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees, the University Chancellor, the Vice Chancellors and his assistants, the deans of the colleges, and members of the academic and administrative bodies, in addition to a number of officials, ambassadors and consuls accredited to the state.

The ceremony began with the playing of the UAE national anthem and then the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by His Excellency Jamal Salem Al Tarifi, President of the University, in which he extended, on behalf of the university family, the highest thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and the founder of the university, praising His Highness’s continued support and vision that made the university a global academic and humanitarian edifice.

Al-Tarifi confirmed that the university witnessed an expansion in its postgraduate programs during the current year, through the launch of two master’s programs in jurisprudence and its principles, and Arabic language and literature, with preparations to launch a master’s program in interpretation and hadith during the next year, in a way that enhances its academic and research career.

He pointed out that the university will continue its global mission by attracting students from more than 136 nationalities, within an educational environment that enhances the values ​​of coexistence and understanding, in addition to supporting scientific and community initiatives, and expanding the opening of Al Qasimia University schools for memorizing the Holy Qur’an in a number of African countries, in addition to developing the Al Qasimia University digital educational series to teach the Arabic language to non-native speakers.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, extended his warmest congratulations to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and the founder of the university on the occasion of the graduation of the eleventh cohort, stressing that the graduates represent the fruit of a well-established scientific and humanitarian journey.

Al-Khalaf reviewed the most prominent academic and strategic achievements achieved by the university during the academic year, including launching the Master’s program in Interpretation and Hadith, renewing the academic accreditation of the Bachelor’s program in Interpretation and Qur’anic Sciences, and organizing the tenth international conference of Al Qasimia University with wide participation from researchers and scientific institutions.

He pointed out the strengthening of the university’s research presence in the “Scopus” database, the issuance of 12 new scientific books, the university’s acquisition of membership in the “AACSB” association, in addition to the expansion of academic partnerships with local and international institutions, and the development of training programs and student activities in a way that enhances the quality of academic outputs and consolidates the university’s position as an attractive global educational environment.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Excellency Jamal Salem Al-Tarifi, accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf, handed over certificates to male and female graduates from various specializations, amid an atmosphere filled with joy and pride from parents and students.
