He looked at the level of operational and technical readiness, and checked on the progress of work to transfer the Hajj ritual to the world, which reflects the exceptional efforts of the Kingdom in serving the guests of God.

Visiting Umm Al-Qura Newspaper

Al-Dosari began the tour by visiting Umm Al-Qura newspaper, learning about the paths of development and digital transformation that the newspaper is witnessing, as the official newspaper of the Kingdom.
During his visit, he was briefed on the mechanisms of editorial work, Technical, printing, and development plans to enhance digital content and publishing tools.
He also inspected the newspaper’s facilities and sections, and reviewed the techniques used in documentation, and the stages of electronic archiving to transform historical paper content into digital materials that facilitate review and search.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Minister of Information stressed the importance of continuing to develop national media institutions and raising their digital readiness, in keeping with the development transformations and supporting the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Umm Al-Qura newspaper is considered the Established by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – in the year 1343 AH, it is the Official Gazette of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has documented over more than a century the various national regulations, orders, decisions and transformations.

He also inspected the necessary media equipment at Arafat to facilitate the media work of local journalists and international partners, to perform their media mission during the Hajj season.

At the conclusion of his inspection visit, the Minister of Information stressed to the Ministry’s employees and its system participating in covering this year’s Hajj, the importance of making more efforts to highlight the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the guests of God, and the attention paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, And His Highness the faithful Crown Prince – may God protect them – to facilitate the pilgrims to the Holy House of God.
The Minister of Information also visited the Hajj Operations Center "Command and control" Public Security and the Presidency of State Security, and reviewed the integrated security and organizational efforts for the Hajj season.
