Mohamed Elneny announces his departure from Al Jazeera

Egyptian international star Mohamed Elneny announced today, Wednesday, his departure from Al Jazira team after the end of his contract with the club, which he spent two seasons within its walls. Elneny sent a farewell message on his account on the social networking site (X) today, where he expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him in the recent period, indicating that his career with Al Jazeera has come to an end.
Elneny posted several pictures of himself in the Al Jazira shirt, and commented on them, saying: “Today I announce the end of my journey with Al Jazira Club after two seasons. I thank all the players and all the technical staff and management for their support and support.”
The veteran midfielder added, “A very special thank you to the Al-Jazira fans for their continued support for us. The end of a journey and the beginning of a new one, God willing. I ask God for success in what is coming and I wish success for Al-Jazira Club in the next stage.”
Elneny joined the ranks of Al Jazeera after participating with the Egypt U-23 national team in the Paris Olympics in the summer of 2024 on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with his former English club, Arsenal.
Elneny participated in 60 matches in various competitions with Al Jazira, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists to his teammates, and won the UAE League Cup title.
