An exciting draw between New Zealand and Iran ignites the accounts of Group Seven

The New Zealand national team tied with its Iranian counterpart, two goals to the same, for the Group Seven competitions in the World Cup finals, so that the group’s scores flared up after Egypt tied with Belgium 1-1.

The New Zealand team initiated the attack early, as player Elijah Just succeeded in opening the scoring in the seventh minute of the first half. The Iranian team equalized the score through team defender Ramin Rezaian in the 33rd minute.

In the second half, player Elijah Just returned to score the second goal for himself and New Zealand in the 54th minute, before the Iranian team was able to adjust the balance for the second time through player Mohamed Mohibi in the 64th minute, so the confrontation ended with the points being shared.

With this result, all the teams in Group Seven (Iran, New Zealand, Egypt, Belgium) were equal with one point each, after the other confrontation between Egypt and Belgium ended in a 1-1 draw. The New Zealand and Iranian teams occupy the temporary lead in the group on the difference in goals scored (two goals each).
