After the harsh loss in the World Cup, Tunisia dismissed its coach, Sabri Lamouchi

The Tunisian Football Federation announced the termination of the contractual relationship with the coach of the first national team, Sabri Lamouchi, by mutual consent, following the heavy loss to Sweden, 1-5, in the first round of the sixth group competitions of the 2026 World Cup.

The Tunisian Federation said, in an official statement, that it thanks Lamouchi for the period he spent with the national team, wishing him success in his next professional career, without revealing the identity of the coach who will take over the job in the next match against Japan.

The Tunisia national team suffered a heavy blow at the beginning of its World Cup campaign after a tough loss to Sweden, placing it in last place in Group Six with a large goal difference, before facing Japan and the Netherlands, which makes its task more difficult in competing to qualify for the next round.
