Sales of Germany national team shirts reach a record high, while Mexico shirt tops Adidas sales

Adidas CEO, Bjorn Golden, said today, Wednesday, that the company is in the process of selling three times the amount of jerseys for the German national team participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, adding that Mexican national team jerseys top the list of sales.

Goldin pointed out that the total sales of current German national team shirts will exceed 3 million shirts, bringing Germany, the home of the international clothing company, to achieve a new record.

He explained that demand remains more for the primary white shirt, stressing that the dark blue reserve shirt sells much better than the pink reserve shirt worn by the German national team in the Euro 2024 Championship.

Golden added that the problem of the lack of the letter “V” allocated to the back of the shirts of the three German players, Deniz Undav, Kai Havertz, and Alexander Pavlovic, has been solved.

The cooperation between Adidas and the German Football Association is about to end after many decades, and Nike will design the shirts of the German national teams.

Golden added that the Mexican national team’s shirts manufactured by Adidas top the list of sales for the 2026 World Cup, which Mexico is organizing along with Canada and the United States, while Argentina’s shirts occupy second place and Germany third.
