"Emirates Balanced Development" Launches the first initiative flights "Our blessing trips" To enhance community participation of senior citizens
Abu Dhabi, June 29 / WAM / The Emirates Council for Balanced Development launched the first trips of the “Our Blessing Trips” initiative from the Qidfa area in the Emirate of Fujairah, sponsored by First Abu Dhabi Bank, and in cooperation with Etihad Rail and the Zayed National Museum.
The initiative comes within the framework of the Council’s efforts to enhance community participation and improve the quality of life of senior citizens in villages and regions of the Emirates, by providing them with the opportunity to explore the most prominent cultural, tourist and entertainment destinations in the Emirates of the country, within community programs designed to meet their needs and enrich their social and cultural experiences.
The first trip targeted a group of senior female citizens from the Qidfa area, and included an experience traveling on Etihad trains from Fujairah station to Mohammed bin Zayed City station in Abu Dhabi, followed by a visit to the Zayed National Museum in the cultural district on Saadiyat Island, and learning about its cultural and cognitive experiences that shed light on the history of the UAE and the legacy of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.
The program included a visit to SeaWorld Abu Dhabi on Yas Island and enjoying a variety of entertainment shows and experiences.
The Emirates Council for Balanced Development was keen to provide an integrated experience that takes into account the needs of senior citizens throughout the trip, by providing medical support, mobility support, and the necessary arrangements to ensure easy access and movement during the various stages of the trip, in addition to providing support services in means of transportation and visiting sites, in a way that enhances the comfort of the participants and guarantees them a safe and distinctive experience.
The Council is implementing the “Our Blessing Journeys” initiative in a number of villages and regions of the Emirates, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life and expanding opportunities for community participation for senior citizens, male and female.
The initiative falls within the efforts of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development aimed at enhancing the quality of life and establishing community cohesion in the villages and regions of the Emirates, through the implementation of specific programs and initiatives that provide senior citizens with broader opportunities for interaction and community participation and to benefit from the cultural, tourism and entertainment components that the Emirates abounds with.
