With Rahimi’s two goals, the UAE League is fifth in the Arab world on the list of the most scored in the World Cup

The UAE Professional Football League rose to fifth place on the list of Arab leagues with the most goals scored in the history of the World Cup Finals, benefiting from the double scored by Al Ain striker, Moroccan international Sufyan Rahimi, with his country’s national team in the current edition of the tournament.

According to Opta statistics, the tally of UAE League players rose to six goals in the history of the World Cup, advancing to fifth place in the Arab world, in an indicator that reflects the growing artistic value of the competition and its ability to attract players who leave their mark in the largest football event in the world.

Rahimi’s brilliance with the Moroccan national team is an extension of the remarkable presence of professional league players in international forums, after he directly contributed to the Atlas Lions reaching the quarter-finals, confirming that the UAE League has become a platform through which players continue to shine even on the global stage.

The Saudi League topped the list of Arab leagues with the most goals in the history of the World Cup with 28 goals, followed by the Egyptian League with 11 goals, then the Tunisian League with eight goals, and the Qatari League with seven goals, while the UAE League came fifth with six goals, ahead of the Algerian League (five goals), then the Moroccan League (four goals), while the Iraqi and Kuwaiti Leagues each have “two goals.”
