Inter Miami signs Casemiro on a free transfer

American club Inter Miami announced its contract with Brazilian international midfielder Casemiro, on a free transfer.

The club said in a statement that the contract with Casemiro will extend until the end of the 2027 Major League Soccer season, with an option to extend until June 2029.

Casemiro (34 years old) said in the official statement, “What motivates me most, like any football player, is trying to constantly develop and achieve more victories, and the Inter Miami project and what its officials did to sign me means a lot to me.”

He added, “I am very grateful and excited to begin my journey with the team to return the trust of the club officials, not over the course of 90 minutes in matches, but rather every training session daily. I thank the club management, and I promise to do my best to return this trust and love that I found.”

Casemiro spent the last four seasons with Manchester United, and before that he achieved a historic career over 8 years with Spanish Real Madrid.

With the Real Madrid shirt, Casemiro was classified as one of the best midfielders in Europe, and with the Spanish club he achieved five Champions League titles, three European Super Cup titles, three Club World Cup titles, three Spanish League titles, one Spanish King’s Cup title, and three Spanish Super Cup titles.
