Wasted opportunities and defensive errors caused Al Jazira’s draw against Kalba

Al-Jazira team coach, Moroccan Hussein Amouta, expressed his regret that his team did not win over Kalba in the match that brought them together the day before yesterday at Kalba Stadium, which ended in a 1-1 draw, in the ninth round of the ADNOC Professional League, pointing out that the defensive errors that the players committed, Missing attacking opportunities is the main reason behind the draw result.

Al Jazeera has 17 points in fourth place, while Kalba has 12 points in seventh place.

Amouta said in a press conference after the match: “Unfortunately, we got one point from the match, because we wasted a lot of chances, which amounted to seven chances, of which we only scored one goal.”

He continued: “The Kalba team could have scored two more goals due to the defensive mistakes we made, and we must be effective offensively in the upcoming matches.”

For his part, Kalba coach Vuk Rasovic described the match as difficult, and added: “We could have scored more than one goal, and we have to think about the next confrontation with Al Ain, and forget the Al Jazira match.”
