"Solidarity"Providing the best educational service in partnership with all parties

Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity, Engineer Margaret Saroufim, affirmed the ministry’s keenness to provide the best educational service in partnership with all concerned parties, in light of the sustainable development goals, including the fourth goal, which calls for quality education available to all, explaining that development targets education. Empowering and enhancing the capabilities of individuals and obtaining equal opportunities. Engineer Margaret Sarofim also stressed the interest of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, starting from the early childhood stage from the age of one day to four years through a group of interventions, in developing and developing the skills of our children in early childhood, the most important of which is developing the infrastructure for nurseries. Governmental and non-governmental organizations, setting quality standards to ensure the quality of the nursery’s internal environment, as well as the skills provided to children and accrediting them from the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority, preparing a guide for self-evaluation and a guide for internal review, in addition to adopting several educational packages to build the capabilities of nursery facilitators and build the capabilities of executive workers in civil society organizations. She said that the (Solidarity and Dignity) program is a cash support program that has educational conditionality to ensure that children continue their education, especially in the early stages of education, until the basic and secondary education stage is completed with a percentage of no less than 85% children’s school attendance.

With regard to the (No Illiteracy with Solidarity) initiative, she explained that it targets those registered on the databases of the (Solidarity and Karama) program and their families to eradicate illiteracy in reading and writing. It is an initiative carried out in effective partnership with the Adult Education Authority through A protocol was signed with the Authority, and the initiative pays attention to women and provides them with equal opportunities for education in a way that enhances their ability, awareness and community participation. 

She indicated that the initiative presented an integrated curriculum approved by the General Authority for Adult Education that achieves two goals, the first is educational and the second is increasing Awareness among all segments of society about the most important issues that concern the nation and citizens and preserve its identity, including preserving the family entity, women’s health, proper nutrition, population growth, honesty and honesty, water conservation and other issues that It benefits the provider and recipient of the service at the same time, but goes beyond its importance for preserving the nation.

She pointed out that 250 facilitators were trained during the months of last November and this December on this methodology, and during the coming period all facilitators will be trained on this methodology, and no The Ministry’s role is limited to working with people without disabilities only. Rather, the educational curriculum entitled “A Decent Life” paid attention to People of determination, including the deaf, dumb, and blind, are the state’s partners in success, and they are among the groups to whom the state pays great attention.

It appreciated the efforts of the Arab House for Adult Learning and Development (Ahad), which includes four Arab networks, for the efforts made to eliminate the phenomenon of illiteracy. In the Arab world and to provide new research and studies in the field of adult education so that those studies can benefit all those responsible for providing educational and pedagogical services to the elderly and to achieve the desired development. The goal of social initiatives is to alleviate poverty and achieve empowerment. Economic, while raising national awareness and citizenship and achieving community participation. 

For his part, the President of the Arab House for Adult Learning and Development, Rifaat Al-Sabah, said that the goal of the forum is to anticipate a future, innovative vision in the Arab region for adult education and learning, as the forum has gained The ninth is important because it coincides with the major events and important changes the region is witnessing.  He added that adult education is a life project that aims to preserve identity and cohesion, especially in times of crisis, stressing that the goal is human and that learning outcomes must be achieved through it in a tangible way that becomes clear in the learner’s behavior and attitudes. 

He explained that transformative education is for re-reading The programs and what is related to them express the needs of learners, especially in areas witnessing displacement and emergency situations. He expressed his hopes for the success of this version of the academy in unifying Arab efforts and vision and creating an effective situation to help Arab peoples and governments, within a framework of integration and coordination in order to prepare the Arab citizen for quality of life.
