D. Ayman Ashour directs the university education sector committees to continue developing study programs
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, chaired the first meeting of the new session of the university education sector committees of the Supreme Council of Universities (session 2025-2028); To discuss the performance plan of the council sector committees during the coming period, in light of achieving the goals of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, Secretary of the Council of Private Universities, Dr. Maher Mesbah, Secretary of the Council of Private Universities, and presidents and trustees. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ayman Ashour welcomed the members of the new formation of heads and secretaries of the sector committees. The Supreme Council of Universities, wishing them continued success during the coming period.

Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed the importance of integration, cooperation and harmony between the various sectors and activating the role of sector committees to develop the educational system, pointing out the importance of linking study programs to the needs of the industrial community. The Minister of Higher Education also pointed to the successes achieved by the higher education system during the past period to the level that has currently qualified it to export university education abroad, and the achievements of Egyptian universities in terms of Success in all international classifications.
Dr. Mustafa Refaat confirmed that the sector’s committees include high-ranking scientific figures to contribute to supporting efforts to improve the educational system in universities. The Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities reviewed the vision for developing higher education sectors, noting that the structure of the 2025-2028 session includes the Council’s secretariat, the Supreme Committee for Higher Education Sector Committees, the Coordinating Committee for the field of Arts and Humanities, and the Coordinating Committee for the field of Higher Education.
