An Ethiopian delegation reviews initiatives "Dubai Culture"
DUBAI, 19 JANUARY / WAM / A high-level delegation from the Republic of Ethiopia, during its visit to the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), was briefed on the authority’s various initiatives, especially related to digital transformation.
The delegation’s visit came within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the governments of the Emirates and Ethiopia in the areas of modernization and government development, in line with the objectives of the partnership between the Government Knowledge Exchange Office and the Mohammed bin Rashid College of Government.
Dubai Culture officials explained the details of digital transformation and artificial intelligence initiatives to enhance the efficiency of cultural programmes, and reviewed virtual tours to interact with the creative scene, and efforts to support a sustainable creative environment for talent.
The “SIKKA” platform and opportunities to participate in it were also highlighted, in addition to reviewing the authority’s strategic projects and future plans to achieve Dubai’s vision as a global center for the creative economy by 2026.
This visit reflects the two countries’ aspiration to enhance cultural and knowledge partnership, thus contributing to building a common future characterized by innovation and renewal.
The discussion with the visiting Ethiopian delegation, which included an elite group of prominent officials, focused on enhancing cultural exchange programs between the two sides, with a focus on the possibilities of implementing the famous “Sikka” platform experience in Ethiopia.
It was also discussed how the Ethiopian side can benefit from the Authority’s expertise and practices in supporting cultural tourism, and how to employ this expertise to strengthen Ethiopian cultural centers and museums, which contributes to creating a qualitative shift in the cultural and tourism scene there.
