The Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council praises the UAE’s initiatives in spreading peace among peoples

Abu Dhabi, January 24 / WAM / Dr. Muhammad Faiz, Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council – Jakarta Branch, praised the initiatives of the UAE and its wise leadership in consolidating the values of tolerance, coexistence and spreading peace among all peoples.
He said that the achievements of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in the UAE and its efforts to consolidate its message locally and globally with high professionalism and remarkable development make it imperative for all religious institutions to follow in its footsteps and adopt its experience as a modern model in the management of religious affairs.
This came during the reception of His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, at the Authority’s main headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council – Jakarta Branch, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Rashid Al-Neyadi, Director-General of the Authority and a number of its officials, where he was introduced to The delegation praised the Authority’s most prominent achievements and the mechanism it follows in managing its affairs with distinction and innovation.
His Excellency Al-Darai stressed the close cooperation between the Authority and religious institutions in Indonesia to promote the values of tolerance and coexistence in societies, praising the depth of historical relations and the strong ties that bring together the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates and the Indonesian people in various areas of life.
Al-Darai said that the Authority is following a keeping-up and advanced strategy to provide the needs of communities in religious affairs according to the latest means, in line with the directives of the UAE government and the vision of its wise leadership, which emphasizes the necessity of conveying the humanitarian message of Islam to the entire world.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the Authority and the Indonesian Ulema Council, increasing communication and intensifying efforts to spread moderate centrist thought and protect societies from discrimination and extremist thought, and work to consolidate tolerant Islamic values, through the exchange of experiences, research, studies and training for religious cadres, in addition to supporting initiatives that It promotes dialogue between peoples and supports stability in all parts of the world.
