Closing of the 2nd edition of Al Dhaid Agricultural Exhibition
Sharjah, January 26 / WAM / The activities of the second edition of the Al Dhaid Agricultural Exhibition, the first event of its kind in the region, which was organized by the Center with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock, concluded yesterday evening at the Expo Center Al Dhaid. The exhibition witnessed the participation of more than 40 companies specialized in the agricultural and livestock sectors, in addition to a number of farmers and federal and local authorities.
The exhibition attracted thousands of visitors, and was distinguished by the diversity of innovative technologies, equipment and solutions presented by companies and exhibitors, including methods for developing the cultivation of wheat and grains, modern technology in hydroponic and vertical agriculture, the latest irrigation and gardening techniques and the finest types of innovative fertilizers.
His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Center Sharjah, explained that organizing the exhibition came within the framework of the Center’s endeavor to promote an integrated vision for sustainable agricultural development in the emirate by bringing together those concerned to bring about a transformation in the sector that adopts a strategy that combines technology, innovation and environmental sustainability.
For his part, Mohammed Musabih Al Taniji, Director of the Expo Center Al Dhaid, pointed out that the exhibition provided a distinguished platform for local farmers to highlight their production with high quality and unprecedented competitive capabilities, in a stimulating environment that enabled producers to display their crops and products to a specialized and interested audience, which opened new horizons for marketing and building direct relationships with… Consumers and concerned institutions.
