The Royal Jordanian Airlines announced this morning, Friday, the conduct of its first commercial flights to Damascus Airport after a 13 -year hiatus.

The Royal Jordanian said that this trip comes in conjunction with the decision of the Jordanian Ministry of Interior to allow citizens to travel by air from the Kingdom’s airports to the airports of Damascus and Aleppo International, as of the date of the start of flights.

The monarchy indicated that she will travel 4 flights a week from Queen Alia International Airport to Damascus Airport, adding that she is one of the first airlines to resume direct flights to Damascus.

She indicated that the Jordanian royal is committed to be one of the first airlines to provide the air link to the Syrian market with the countries of the world.

Several airlines resumed their flights to Damascus, including Qatar Airways after about 13 years of stopping, saying that there would be 3 flights per week. Turkish Airlines also resumed its flights to Damascus after a hiatus of more than a decade, to be 3 flights per week.
