Governmental and private schools prohibit the use of smartphones permanently to enhance student discipline

They explained that the decision to prevent mobile phones permanently came in implementation of the policy of the Ministry of Education, pointing to “the application of penalties without negligence to ensure a disciplined and effective educational environment.”

They added that the penalties for violating students to prevent smartphones will include the deprivation of participating in extracurricular activities and school trips.

They explained that students who rely on phones to reach the smart portal, to record passwords or access to academic materials, can write down information on their books or books to ensure that they do not need the phone on the school campus.

The procedures are part of extensive efforts to control student behavior and achieve a more focused and disciplined educational environment, which enhances the quality of education, improves academic performance, in light of the state’s keenness to provide the best criteria for students, and to achieve an educational vision based on discipline and commitment.

The principals of private schools: Khaled Abdel Hamid, Salma Eid, Sarah Tariq and Hamidan Madi confirmed that their schools have taken educational measures to enhance behavioral discipline.

They pointed out that the penalties will not be limited to confiscation and warnings, but will include assigning students who violate academic tasks or community activities within the school, with the aim of enhancing their sense of responsibility, and involving them in educational initiatives that develop their awareness of the importance of commitment.

They stressed that the repeated violation of the decision to prevent phones will lead to progressive measures, starting with the student’s behavioral monitoring, and then summoning the guardian, up to more severe penalties, which may include the temporary separation in the event of deliberately repeating the violation, noting that these measures aim to protect the environment Educational from any behavior that may negatively affect discipline and educational attainment.

School administrators agreed that these procedures are necessary to ensure an educational environment free from digital distortes, while emphasizing that the goal is not punishment, but rather providing an environment that helps students focus and academic excellence.

The departments emphasized that technology must be a useful educational tool, and not an obstacle to academic achievement.

The principals of the “Nibras Al -Iman” schools, “Dubai Private Secondary”, and “Ibn Khaldun” have called on students to support these procedures, calling for the strengthening of family control over the use of smartphones among their children, and to emphasize their lack of need to them inside the school.

School managers:
