55 thousand beneficiaries of “Dubai Roads” initiatives during Ramadan

Dubai, March 27 / WAM / The Dubai Roads and Communications Authority announced the success of 20 community initiatives launched during the month of Ramadan, from which 55 thousand people benefited, with the participation of 350 volunteers from the authority’s employees, who provided more than 1,500 voluntary hours to support the targeted groups, including those with anxiety, orphans, bikes and truck drivers, public transport users, and enforced families.
The initiatives included a “fasting breakfast”, which benefited 30,000 people in cooperation with the Dubai Charitable Society and “Bus Al -Khair”, which provided support to 15,500 beneficiaries, in addition to activities targeting 5,000 people at the metro stations. The authority also distributed 1,000 Nol Cards as part of the “Mir Ramadan” initiative, which coincided with “Zayed Day for Humanitarian Action”.
Abdullah Youssef Al Ali, Executive Director of the Institutional Administrative Support Services in the Authority, stressed that these initiatives reflect the vision of the rational leadership in promoting societal cohesion and consolidating the values of giving, noting that “Dubai Roads” is working to assess the social impact of its initiatives to ensure a sustainable impact.
To celebrate Al -Fitr, the authority organized activities for the Council of Senior Citizens, which included cultural offers and workshops, in addition to distributing Eid women in the Metro Station, and targeted orphans, senior citizens and people of determination, while its activities concluded by organizing reading workshops for employees in cooperation with the Huawei community, in the framework of its support for the “reading month”
