An official statement .. Lyon City escalates the case of the AFC Champions League final against Sharjah

In a new escalation of the final match stadium in the AFC Champions League 2 Clubs “.. Lyon City announced its refusal to transfer its match against Sharjah next May 18 away from its stadium and adhere to its stay at the” Gallan Bossar “stadium in Singapore because it obtained the right to host the meeting.
Sharjah had sent an official letter to the Asian Federation via the Emirates Football Association to change the match stadium and allocate an appropriate stadium to its stay, especially since the “Gallan Bossar” stadium has its ground from artificial grass and is not appropriate to organize the final match due to its small size in terms of mass capacity and is not commensurate with the final Asian requirements of this size.
“The Lyon City club refuses to transfer its match outside its stadium and confirms its commitment to the AFC regulations in this regard,” the Singapore club said in a press statement addressed to the Asian Football Confederation.
The statement added: “Lyon is working closely with the Asian Football Confederation and the Singapore Federation on the AFC Champions League final arrangements, and we want to mention our position clearly, as this final match must play in Singapore, and as the club that won the right to host the final, so it is fair to be held in Singapore, and that (Gallan Sayyar) is considered an accredited stadium by the Federation The Asian, and this tournament was successfully held. “
The statement continued: “We urge the Asian Federation to allow Lyon City to hold this historic match at home.”
