Emirates NBD: Wealth owners flow into the country that enhances the liquidity of the financial markets

Dubai, May 7 / WAM / Brasad Shari, the first executive director of the capital market management for stocks at Emirates NBD, confirmed that the financial markets in the Emirates show increasing flexibility in the face of various global fluctuations.
Shari said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the 2025 Capital Markets Summit that the transfer of owners of special wealth and global asset managers increasingly to live and work in the UAE is directly and clearly reflected in the financial markets and its performance.
He explained that local and regional investors have a long -term investment horizon, which strengthened the ability of local and regional financial markets to absorb new proposals in complex circumstances.
Shari reviewed the experiences of a number of primary public proposals in recent years, such as “Dua”, “Tikom”, “Taxi Dubai” and “Spinnes”, which took place in periods that witnessed major global events and high interest rates, but it has passed and proved its success, stressing that the market continued its strong performance in the various circumstances, thanks to the confidence that was established by investors and institutions.
Regarding the pace of public proposals during the current year, Shari pointed out that the Emirati market has so far witnessed one listing, and a presentation of a real estate investment fund, but he pointed out that the market was active in terms of other operations such as voluntary offers for purchase, large block deals, and specialized offers, all of which contribute to increasing liquidity and enhancing investor participation.
He said, “The pace of proposals may not be the same number last year in terms of number, but it will be similar or greater in terms of the size of the capital that will be collected, especially with the presence of expected proposals before and after the summer season.”
On capital flows towards the stock market in the country, Shari said that these flows are witnessing significant growth supported by the increase in global presence in Dubai, noting that global investors have become more familiar with Dubai and its markets, and there is no longer a need to provide an introductory explanation about it during the promotional tours, as was the case in previous years.
He explained that the transfer of global fund managers and investors, including the wealthy people with special wealth and global asset managers, to Dubai and the UAE in general, because of the active environment and promising investment opportunities it provides, clearly effective for the performance of local financial markets.
Shari pointed out that the markets have become more flexible in dealing with these variables, as they do not stop the activity permanently, but rather witness a “temporary anticipation period” followed by a rapid recovery, in reference to the development of investor behavior and the high degree of their maturity.
He stressed that the expansion of the investor base, the growth of trading volume and the diversity of financial tools, all of which are indications of the strength and sustainability of the financial markets in the UAE, which has become a regional and global gate attractive for long -term investment.
