Umm Al Quwain University and"Business ladies" They organize a forum on empowering people of determination
Umm Al -Quwain, on June 20 / WAM / The Sociology Program at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Umm Al Quwain University, in cooperation with the Business Women Council, organized the second social forum under the slogan “The power of will make the future for people of determination”, within the framework of efforts to enhance societal awareness and support the integration of people of determination in various areas of life.
The forum comes within the various initiatives implemented by the university in partnership with the Council, to support the groups of society and enhance its role in advancing sustainable development.
His Excellency Aisha Leatim, member of the Federal National Council, Chairman of the Women’s Business Women Council, and Counselor Dr. Khaled Al -Salami, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the People with Disabilities Association, Anoud Rashid Al -Kindi, a first social worker at the Umm Al Quwain Center for Autism, and Muhammad Abdullah Al -Qaid, member of the Board of Directors of Al -Thiqa Club for the Disabled Acting Director of the Executive Director, and a number of specialists in the fields of care and social empowerment.
The forum axes focused on empowering people of determination, enhancing their societal participation, and highlighting the importance of integrating them into the education and labor market system, as well as reviewing the efforts of autistic centers in providing care and qualification for children, and the vital role that sport and arts play in developing skills and discovering talents among people of determination.
Participants also presented an inspiring stories and success experiences that reflect the volume of will and ambition enjoyed by the owners of determination, and the role of society in providing an incubator environment and supporting their capabilities.
It was held within the activities of the forum, a diversified exhibition in which several governmental and private bodies participated in overcoming obstacles in front of the people of this group and their ways of supporting them with modern programs and equipment, services and facilities provided to them, as well as organizing manual workshops and interactive projects provided by those with determination themselves, and reflected their creative capabilities and productive skills in various fields.
His Excellency Aisha Litem said that the organization of this event comes as an embodiment of the council’s commitment to support the owners of determination and highlight their role in comprehensive societal development, especially since they represent underlying energies capable of achieving a lot whenever opportunities were given.
She added that the forum is a step in a series of efforts aimed at enabling the people of this group and raising awareness of their issues.
The forum was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Issa Al -Kasheh, member of the Federal National Council, His Excellency Mona Rashid Tahnoun, Member of the Federal National Council, Dr. Jalal Hatem, Advisor to the Board of Trustees of Umm Al Quwain University, Ahmed Obaid Ibrahim, Director General of Umm Al Quwain Chamber and representatives of government institutions and the academic authority at the university.
