“Best Player in the World” with meningitis

Spanish midfield star Aitana Bounemati, winner of the Golden Ball Award for Best Player in the World twice, entered the hospital for her viral meningitis, according to the local football federation on Sunday.
Punmati, who is defending the colors of Barcelona, was absent from Spain’s friendly victory over Japan last Friday, in the last entitlement to the world champions before the start of the 2025 European Cup next week.
The Spanish Federation announced in a statement that the Golden Ball, which was crowned with the Golden Ball in 2023 and 2024, was “subject to continuous medical monitoring” after the tests showed that it had viral meningitis.
Bunmati, 27, was not trained on Thursday after she felt Aukk, and later published a photo of her as she was lying on the hospital bed and watched the women of “La Roja” women on Japan 3-1.
