German advisor .. a strong presence on the international scene and suffering at home

When he nominated for the position of “the advisor” in the German parliament, on the sixth of last May, Ferdrich Mertz did not get the absolute majority required in the first round, and reached it in the second attempt, but that was an indication of what would come, the majority of it is very small, and the worst of that, that he cannot rely on the loyalty of all the deputies of his coalition, consisting of his party: The Christian Democratic Union, and the Social Union Party, and the Social Union Party Christian (Bavarian), and the Social Democratic Party.
Immediately after the oath, Mertz began a series of foreign trips across Europe, where he visited Paris, then Warsaw, Brussels, Kiev and America.
He soon gained his passion for traveling the title of “foreign advisor”, as he succeeded in achieving his ambition to consolidate Germany as a leading voice in international politics, and played a prominent role in the recent Ukrainian peace talks, and it seems that he is well compatible with US President Donald Trump.
But he stumbles, after 100 days in his post, Mertz seems less popular than his unpleasant predecessor, Olaf Schultz, according to a survey conducted by the German Public Broadcasting Corporation, where only 32% were satisfied with the current advisor, compared to 56% for Golds, and 74% for Ligila Merkel.
The most disturbing thing, recently, is what some opinion polls indicate, in the fact that the right -wing “Alternative for Germany” party may advance to the Christian Democratic Union Party, and according to a poll conducted by the “Insation”, 68% of the Germans expect that the regional elections next year will return for the first time, Prime Minister of a state from the “alternative for Germany” party.
The states that will hold the elections next year are: Baden-Fortterburg, Renland-Bavalz, and Saxonia-Pahatal, Berlin, and Michelburg-Fourbomern, and observers expect that the main parties will consider the victory of the “alternative for Germany” party in the first place, and its failure to win an absolute majority in “Saxony-Anahaal”, and being the largest party in the state Or only two states of the five states, good news.
What is the mistake that happened? “Meersz is not a experienced politician, but behaves as an executive president, and in foreign policy, his leadership is achieved from top to bottom success, but his administrative style at home is resenting,” says Holggar Schmiding, chief economist at Perinberg Bank.
He continued: “Many parliamentarians have been angry with his party after acknowledged a mitigation of the budget rules in Germany even before he took office.”
Last July, his problems focused on the nominations of the country’s constitutional court in force, and Mertz was forced to cancel a vote in Parliament on three appointments, after some of his party’s deputies rebelled against the nomination of the law professor, Feruk Gerdorf, and many Christian Democrats resented their liberal views on abortion, and Mertz said that “their attacks on them rise to a personal defamation campaign.” Chaddorf has been nominated since then.
On the eighth of August, Mertz decided to stop German exports from weapons to Israel, without consulting anyone, except for his closest advisers, and this caused the discontent of the Christian Democratic Union and the Christian Social Union, in addition to some of the prime ministers of the states, and the leader of the Christian Social Union was the Prime Minister of Bavaria in his second term, Marcus Soder, in particular disturbing not to consult with him.
However, his government has succeeded to a reasonable extent in implementing the four major changes he promised during the first months of his office, which is to reduce bureaucracy, increase border checkpoints, reform the minimum income in Germany, and reduce taxes on companies. About “Economist”
