Indonesia refuses to grant visas to Israeli athletes to participate in the World Gymnastics Championships

Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Reform, Yusril Ihza Mahindra, announced on Thursday that Indonesia will not grant entry visas to six Israeli athletes to participate in the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Jakarta.

 

Mahindra explained, in a statement, that The tournament, scheduled to be held from October 19 to 25, will not involve Israeli athletes, out of the Indonesian government’s keenness on its firm support for the independence of Palestine, according to what was reported by the “Antara” news agency.
