The Minister of Foreign Affairs participates in the meeting to implement the American plan to end the war in Gaza

Share Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, today, Thursday, October 9, 2025, in the ministerial meeting on the implementation of the American peace plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza, which was held in the French capital, Paris, in which French President Emmanuel Macron participated, in part, and witnessed the participation of foreign ministers and senior officials of the countries of France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, the Emirates, and Indonesia. Turkey, the United States, and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy, Kaya Callas.

French President Macron was keen to express appreciation for the efforts of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Egypt’s role in achieving this achievement in cooperation with Qatar and Turkey. The meeting discussed arrangements for the situation in the Gaza Strip in light of the recent positive developments in Sharm El-Sheikh with regard to reaching an agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip, and what It was formed from a defining moment in the war in Gaza, and the meeting witnessed praise for the efforts of Egypt, Qatar and Turkey in reaching the agreement in Sharm El-Sheikh. 

 

For his part, the Foreign Minister stressed during the meeting that US President Trump’s peace plan is a good basis for ending the war in Gaza, stressing Egypt’s support for the plan, and also addressed the implementation of its first phase and the rest of its elements, including This includes the entry of humanitarian aid in sufficient quantities and issues of early recovery and reconstruction, in addition to the international conference scheduled to be hosted in Cairo in cooperation with international partners for early recovery and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also expressed his aspiration to implement all elements of the plan, stressing the importance of supporting the Palestinian Authority as the legitimate governing body capable of carrying out its responsibilities. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also expressed his aspiration that the end of the war would be followed by a political path to resume negotiations between the Israeli and Palestinian sides, in a way that supports reconstruction efforts and restores stability, and is reflected in a peace process in accordance with the objectives of the plan.
