Despite the injury, Safa Suleiman achieved fifth place in the World Youth Judo Championship

Safa Soliman, the Egyptian Judo National Team player, thanked the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Judo Federation, headed by Mohamed Motie, after preparing a strong rehabilitation plan that helped her come back strong following the injury she recently suffered.
Safa was present in an external camp in Japan that lasted about 20 days, as part of the preparation plan that the Federation is implementing for all national team players, to raise their technical, physical and psychological competence, and contact.
Safa Soliman continued to shine by achieving fifth place in the World Youth Championship, which was held in Peru during the period from 4 to 8 October of this year, in the +78 kg weight competition, which is an achievement that strengthens the position of Egyptian judo on the world stage.
She explained. Safa Suleiman in her statements: “Praise be to God for the result. I was hoping to achieve a medal for Egypt, but reaching fifth place after a long period of injury is an important step on my way to returning to the best level.”
Safa Soliman continued: “I thank the Egyptian Judo Federation and the technical staff for the great support, psychologically, until I return from the injury and for providing The Federation is a psychological and nutrition specialist and provides great support to me through internal camps, international tournaments, and finally the external camp in Japan, which played a major role in developing my technical and physical level.
For his part, Mohamed Moti’, President of the Egyptian Judo Federation, said: “We are proud of what Safa Soliman presented, as she came back strong after a while.” Difficult due to injury, she performed at an honorable level against players from major international schools, and this reflects the success of the federation’s plan in preparing male and female players at the highest level. Our next goal is to achieve medals in the upcoming continental and world championships.
Mohamed Motie concluded his statements by saying that the next stage will witness more attention to youth players, male and female, as they are the future base for judo in Egypt, where work is being done To provide all means of support, including foreign camps, international participation, and continuous technical refinement, so that Egyptian judo remains strongly present on the world stage and has champions capable of competing in the upcoming Olympics.
