“Al-Abyad” showed his strong personality against Oman

National team player Caio Lucas confirmed that the next “White” match against Qatar, the day after tomorrow, in the Asian continent’s qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, will be difficult and historic, indicating that the team must play 90 minutes without mistakes to achieve the dream of qualifying for the World Cup.
Caio told Emirates Al-Youm that the team will go into the match in high spirits following the important victory it achieved over Oman yesterday, with two goals to one, explaining: “We completed the first task successfully by defeating Oman, but the main task before Qatar will be to obtain a ticket to the World Cup.”
He added: “We will play 90 historic minutes, for Emirates football, and for all players and fans, and we are fully aware of the importance of the match, so we began preparation immediately after the end of our match against Oman, and entered the atmosphere of the match by focusing on all the details of the match.”
He continued: “We know that we will play against the Qatar national team on its home field and in front of its fans, but we have the ability to deal with this atmosphere, and we will give everything we have to achieve victory.”
Caio Lucas spoke about the Oman match and said: “It was a difficult and difficult match for us and the audience, especially since the opponent scored the first goal early, and we did not play well in the first half.”
He added: “Coach Olario Cosmin spoke to us after the end of the first half, and told us to fight for the victory. Indeed, the performance improved and we entered the atmosphere of the match better in the second half, and we showed our strong personality that helped us come back with the result.”
The player who scored the second goal stressed that the team did not feel despair, and said: “Despite the difficulty of the match, the minutes that passed quickly, and our continued delay in the result, we did not feel despair and had great determination to get back in the match.”
He added: “I think we deserve to win, but we must forget this match and focus on our match against Qatar, which will be more difficult, because it will directly determine the team that will qualify for the 2026 World Cup, as there will be no room for compensation.”
He continued: “We have great confidence in ourselves, and we will fight to achieve the dream of Emirates football. The situation for us will not differ much from our match against Oman, and we will work to give our best and focus on avoiding making mistakes, especially since this match’s outcome will be determined by small details.”
Caio sent a message to the Emirates fans and said: “There are no words to describe what the fans did during our match against Oman, as the atmosphere was wonderful in Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, and we felt that we were playing on our home field in the Emirates, and we extend our thanks to the fans, and we promise them that we will give everything we have so that the end of Tuesday will be happy for Emirates football and that it will end with our qualification for the World Cup.”
