Bahraini Foreign Ministry: We appreciate President Sisi’s efforts at the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit
Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation for the sincere efforts made by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, in hosting and organizing this historic summit, in the context of Egypt’s steadfast and supportive positions on the Palestinian issue, and its affirmation of Egypt’s pioneering role in promoting security and peace at the regional and international levels.
Al-Zayani praised, as reported by the news agency. Bahraini "us" Today, Tuesday, with the participation of the King of the country, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, which was held on the occasion of reaching an agreement to end the war in Gaza, stressing that this participation embodies the wise royal vision in supporting international and regional efforts aimed at establishing security, stability, and just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East region.
He noted the King of Bahrain’s appreciation for the efforts. The tireless effort led by US President Donald Trump in completing this peaceful initiative, with the support of partners in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and the Republic of Turkey, stressing the Kingdom’s support for the comprehensive document on the Gaza Agreement, with its historical provisions to stop the war, exchange prisoners and detainees, and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, as a glimmer of hope for ending the conflict, and a decisive interim plan towards implementing the plan. Arab Islamic Reconstruction, within the framework of Egyptian diplomatic and humanitarian initiatives towards organizing the International Conference for Early Recovery, Reconstruction and Development in the Gaza Strip.
He added that the royal participation in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit reflected the wise diplomatic approach of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting the legitimate historical rights of the brotherly Palestinian people to self-determination and establishing their independent state, according to the two-state solution, as a map. A path to achieving peace and coexistence between the Palestinian and Israeli peoples, and the peoples of the entire region in safety and harmony.
He stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, through its active presence in regional and international organizations, and its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for the period 2026 – 2027, fully prepared to cooperate closely with international and regional partners, especially the United States of America and the permanent members of the Council, to consolidate the values of tolerance and peace as a strategic choice for a safe and prosperous future for the peoples of the region and the world.
