Sharjah corrects course…and Coronado shines

The Sharjah team favored its fans, and corrected its path in the ADNOC Professional League, by defeating Al Dhafra 2-0, yesterday, at the opening of the sixth round, raising its score to seven points, while Al Dhafra’s score froze at nine points. The “King” took advantage of the numerical shortage in the ranks of Al Dhafra, which completed the match since the 32nd minute with 10 players, after its player, Abdullah Al-Karbi, was sent off. Its star, Igor Kornado, caught all the attention by scoring a goal and assisting another, in front of about 2,000 spectators, after he opened the scoring in the 45th minute with a direct free kick from the edge of the penalty area, and his smart pass inside the area to his Albanian colleague Ray Manaj, who did not… He hesitated to place it to the right of Al Dhafra goalkeeper Amjad Al Sayed in the 46th minute.

The right post of Al Dhafra’s goal prevented Manaj from scoring his second personal goal, and Sharjah’s third, so Sharjah continued its pressure while Al Dhafra settled for counterattacks, without changing the result.

Sharjah scored its second victory in the league this season from Al Dhafra Gate, after winning its opening match at the expense of Dibba with a score of (3-1), while Yateem tied in the third round against Khor Fakkan, and suffered three defeats, the last of which was in the last round against Al Wasl (1-2).
