The team’s journey in the African Hockey Championship before the final match
The men’s national hockey team will face off against South Africa today, Saturday, in the final of the African Cup of Nations, currently being held in Ismailia.
The Egypt-South Africa match is scheduled to take place at 5:45 pm at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia.

It will be held Africa Cup of Nations Men’s hockey tournament with the participation of 6 teams. The first round will feature a one-round tournament, and the first and second will qualify directly for the final match, while the third will play with the fourth for the bronze medal.
The final of the tournament and the matches to determine third and fourth places are scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 18th.
As for the women’s competition, it will include five matches. The teams are: Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana.
The tournament witnesses the return of the Egyptian women’s national team after an absence of eight years, as its last participation was in the 2017 edition.
The continental championship is of special importance as it is the twelfth edition of the men’s tournament and the ninth edition for women, and it also qualifies for the 2026 World Championship scheduled to be held in Belgium. And the Netherlands.
