Swimming continues to shine… 13 medals and 4 cups for Egypt in the African Open Water Championship

The delegation of the Egyptian open water swimming team succeeded in imposing its brilliance during the African Water Sports Championship for adults and juniors, held in the Kenyan city of Mombasa during the period from October 19 to the 24 of this month, after it was able to win 13 various medals, 7 gold, 4 silver, and 2 Two bronze.
The medals were as follows:
Gold medals, Mohamed Adel Moselhi, two medals in the race (5K overall, and 3K overall) – Ahmed Al-Hourani (5K U-18) – Ahmed Samir (5K U17) – Arwa Faisal (5K U-17) – Moaz Hossam (5K U15) – Overall relay gold (Mohamed Adel Moselhi – Lamis Amr – Moaz Hossam – Arwa Faisal).
Silver medals, Lamis Al-Sukari (5K U-18) – Moaz Hossam (3rd year general) – Junior relay silver (Ahmed Al-Hourani – Rofaida Amr – Zeina Medhat – Ahmed Samir).
Bronze medals: Zeina Ahmed Medhat (5k overall) – Rofaida Amr (5K U-15) – Arwa Faisal (3K girls).
The Egyptian team also won several distinguished individual awards, as Mohamed Adel Moselhi won the Best Overall Swimmer Cup, Arwa Faisal won the Best Junior Cup, while Moaz Hossam won the Best Swimmer Cup, in addition to the Egyptian team being crowned the African Championship Cup. For juniors.
The delegation is headed by Islam Samaida, a member of the Egyptian Federation’s Board of Directors, while the technical and administrative staff includes: “Khaled Awad as technical director, Ahmed Al-Mahlawy as coach, Amal Abu Aram as administrator, and Dr. Reem Samir as a physician.” The national team.
