Dubai Police arrests two thieves who stole 660,000 dirhams

Within two hours of receiving the report, Bur Dubai Police Station was able to identify two masked thieves who stole 660,000 dirhams, and thwart their plan to flee outside the country with the stolen money, by arresting them at Dubai International Airport before they boarded the plane.

In the details, the Bur Dubai Police Station explained that the two thieves planned to rob a large supermarket, and late at night they went to the back door and made a hole in it using sharp tools, then entered it, went to the accounting office and broke 4 boxes containing 60 thousand dirhams.

The center stated that the two thieves then went to the main safe of the supermarket, broke it using sharp tools, stole an amount of 600 thousand dirhams and then fled the place, noting that one of the supermarket workers came in the early morning hours before the start of official work, witnessed the crime and filed a report.

The center indicated that the duty officer, forensic experts, and detectives immediately went to the crime scene and noticed that the two thieves had entered the supermarket masked to hide their identity. They followed their movements and were able, through the use of artificial intelligence programs, data analysis, and evidence gathering, to infer their identity and circulate to them to reveal that they intended to travel and escape with the stolen money.

The Center confirmed that their attempt to escape and their plan failed thanks to the speed of response and high professionalism of the policemen and the use of the latest technologies to identify them and then arrest them at Dubai International Airport before their travel in cooperation and coordination with the General Administration of Airport Security, find the stolen amount in their possession, and refer them to the Public Prosecution and the judiciary for trial.
