The Prime Minister is following up on a number of common files "Local development" and"Finance"
Today, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, followed up on a number of joint files between the Ministries of Local Development and Finance, in a meeting attended by Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, Acting Minister of Environment, Ahmed Kjouk, Minister of Finance, and a number of Ministry of Finance officials.
The Minister of Local Development confirmed that the Ministry places as its top priority supporting the governorates in implementing integrated local development projects and developing the economy. Local, and promoting the principles of decentralization, in order to achieve true sustainable development that is directly reflected in the lives of citizens.
Dr. Manal Awad also explained that the Ministry periodically follows up on the governorates’ plans to develop their own resources and proposed activities to maximize the use of their resources and comparative advantages, as well as mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating the current situation, and mechanisms for solving problems facing activities and projects. The Minister of Finance indicated that there is coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development, with regard to supporting the plans for developing the internal resources of the various governorates, in accordance with the controls and rules governing this matter, in a way that contributes to the implementation of various service projects and improving the lives of citizens.
Counsel Muhammad Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated, The meeting dealt with a number of financial files related to the services implemented by the governorates, within the framework of developing the governorates’ own resources.
