The Ministry of Economy and Tourism and Expo City Dubai launch the first Sustainability Innovation Park to stimulate sustainable growth

Dubai, October 28 / WAM / The Ministry of Economy and Tourism and Expo City Dubai announced the launch of the first sustainability innovation complex in the United Arab Emirates, with the aim of redefining the concept of industrial development by combining economic growth, environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
The Sustainability Innovation Park, which was launched in cooperation with four strategic partners, will serve as a strong catalyst for sustainable industrial growth, attracting international companies to the country and contributing to accelerating the achievement of its ambitious goals of diversifying the economy and climate action, in line with the “UAE Strategy for Climate Neutrality 2050,” the “UAE Centenary 2071,” and the “National Investment Strategy 2031.”
“Expo City Dubai” is considered the ideal location to launch this complex and support environmentally friendly companies, especially those concerned with clean energy, circular economy and green technologies, in order to reduce the carbon footprint and achieve growth, due to its ready-made sustainable infrastructure, a world-class free zone that has won prestigious awards, its commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2050, and its rich legacy in driving progress. She pointed out that Expo City Dubai provides about 2,000 square meters of land within the Sustainability Innovation Park to enable companies to establish their headquarters. She confirmed that the general plan for the complex has begun, and that the project will be developed in stages over the next five to ten years, thus enhancing the role of Expo City Dubai in supporting the national sustainability system and stimulating innovation and investment in green sectors in line with the UAE’s vision for the future.
The Sustainability Innovation Park seeks to reduce carbon emissions and reduce waste, as it targets companies working in the circular economy and urban agriculture, or those that provide a range of sustainable products and services, providing them with dedicated spaces for offices, stores, and food and beverage outlets, in addition to light industrial units and spaces dedicated to agriculture.
