We started the season as we wanted…and we know the difficulty of facing Ajman

Al Ain team coach, Vladimir Ivic, stressed the importance of maintaining the strong start that his team achieved in the ADNOC Professional Football League Championship this season, noting that the current lead with “16 points and no loss” reflects the seriousness of the players and their commitment on the field, stressing the need to continue this start when Al-Zaeem visits Ajman on Thursday in the seventh round.
He said in the press conference yesterday: “It is very important that we started the season the way we want. We are currently in the lead, the team’s performance is good, and the players are working very hard. I said more than once that they deserve this status, and it can be said that things are going under control.”
He added: “The players are serious and realize that we made a good start, but we have many matches ahead of us in all tournaments. So far, we have achieved what our fans expected from us, and we must continue working to complete what we started.”
Regarding the match against Ajman, the Serbian coach said: “We know that Ajman is a strong and organized team, and the match against them will be difficult, and perhaps one of the most difficult matches outside our homeland. They have a clear style of defence, they are good at playing on rebounds, and they also have distinguished players in the front line who are able to finish the attack with only three or four passes, so we have to be very careful.”
Ivic concluded his speech by saying: “We must prepare ourselves well on how to stop their quick attacks, especially from the wings, and in return we must know how to attack in front of them, and do everything that gives us the advantage in the match.”
