“Zelzal 25” champion of the 60-foot Dubai Sailing Ship Race

The ship “Zilzal 25”, owned by Abdullah Mohammed Al Marzouqi, and captained by Nokhatha Marwan Abdullah Al Marzouqi, won the title of the Dubai Race for Local Sailing Ships in the 60-foot class, which was organized by the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, today, with the participation of 64 of the elite shippers in the Emirates.

A statement from the Dubai International Marine Sports Club stated that the race was intense and fast in its course, given the skill and experience of the participants, and the strength of the 60-foot ships, with everyone adhering to safety instructions, and the keenness of all bearings to provide maximum energy in an attempt to be in the first positions in one of the most important races of the current sports season.

Dubai Harbor hosted the coronation ceremony at the end of the competitions, and the Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mohammed Al Marri, crowned the winners. In second place was the mount “Al Shaqi 96” owned by the owner and Nokhadha Butti Musabah Al Ghasheesh Al Marri, and the third place was won by the carrier “Al Taf 9” owned by Mohammed Rashid Al Rumaithi, and driven by the Nokhatha Yousef Ahmed Al Hammadi.

Mohammed Al-Marri expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the participants at the levels they presented in this race, which is an indication that the 60-foot ship races will be full of competition and rapprochement between experienced pilots. He said: “The race came in accordance with technical expectations in terms of speed and accuracy of the path that all participants adhered to, which made us follow a distinguished race at all levels. While we congratulate those who obtained first places, we would like to praise everyone as we followed from the sea and through aerial footage a competitive panel. “Wonderful.”
