Sami Al-Sharif receives an honorary doctorate from the Islamic University of India

Today, the Islamic University of India granted Dr. Sami Al-Sharif, Secretary-General of the Association of Islamic Universities, an honorary doctorate degree, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to academic and media work, and his influential efforts in supporting the process of scientific research and enhancing cooperation between universities in the Arab and Islamic world.

The awarding of the honorary degree came in an official ceremony, which witnessed the presence of an elite group of senior Indian scholars, and a number of presidents of Arab and Islamic universities, where the presidency of the Islamic University of India praised the rich professional career of the Secretary-General, and He presented solid studies and research that contributed to developing university media discourse and establishing sophisticated professional concepts in the field of scientific communication.

In his speech after the honor, Dr. Sami Al-Sharif expressed his pride in this generous initiative, stressing that this recognition is an incentive to continue working in serving the academic system and enhancing integration between higher education institutions in the countries of the Islamic world. 

He also thanked the Islamic University of India for its pioneering role in sponsoring science. And knowledge, and its continued support for joint research projects.

The ceremony concluded by emphasizing the continuation of institutional cooperation between the Association of Islamic Universities and the Islamic University of India, in order to achieve common goals and support the quality of education and scientific research in the region and the world.
