Minister of Parliamentary Affairs: The digital transformation in the electoral process came with the aim of making it easier for citizens

Minister of Parliamentary, Legal and Political Affairs, Counselor Mahmoud Fawzi, confirmed that the digital transformation in the electoral process came with the aim of facilitating it for citizens.
Fawzi said – during an intervention on “Extra News” satellite channel: Monday evening – “Everything is now done electronically in a few minutes, without the need to go and submit requests manually as it was before; These steps confirm that each electoral round in Egypt is more advanced than the previous one, thanks to the accumulation of experience and the improvement of organizing mechanisms.”
He added that the National Elections Authority has accumulated extensive experience across the various previous electoral rounds; Which was reflected in the accuracy of the organization and the smoothness of the procedures.
He pointed out that the Authority – in the past – allowed inquiries about the Electoral Commission via a short text message, but today, through the official electronic application, the citizen can identify the location of his committee using GPS, and even change it at the specified times to a committee that is closer or more convenient to him.
Counsel Mahmoud Fawzi stressed that citizen participation in the elections represents a constitutional right and a national duty at the same time, pointing out that participation allows The citizen has the right to choose who represents him in the House of Representatives and thus contributes to drawing up the state’s policies and making its decisions.
He called on all citizens to take the initiative to participate and go out to cast their votes, especially since the electoral process is easy in terms of time and organization.
He explained that voting times extend from nine in the morning until nine in the evening; This allows citizens to go to their committees at any time that suits them. Whether before or after work, or during daily rest periods, stressing that participation and participation is a national responsibility that falls on everyone.
