"Hospital management" In a workshop on the sidelines of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development

The Ministry of Health and Population, represented by the Medical Professions Development Sector, organized a workshop entitled “Hospital Management and Operational Excellence” Over the course of three days, in cooperation with the Medical Risk Compensation Fund, and with the participation of the American expert Dr. Montaser Qadri, Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at George Washington University, on the sidelines of the conference during November 12-14.

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that the workshop aims to develop continuous medical training and raise the efficiency of health service providers, to improve the quality of services and achieve operational excellence. It targets 35 hospital directors and their deputies in the therapeutic sector, health insurance, therapeutic institution, and secretariat of specialized centers, from all governorates.

 

He pointed out the workshop’s themes: the basics of public administration, financial management, human resources and institutional development, innovation and information management, leadership and change management. He stressed that it is part of the efforts to qualify health leaders and implement best practices, in support of Egypt’s Vision 2030.

 

Dr. Hanadi Mohamed, Head of the Medical Professions Development Sector, said that the workshop is part of an integrated training plan that focuses on the professional, administrative, and legal aspects, while listening to the opinions of the participants to develop future programs and meet the needs of health personnel.

 

Dr. Montaser Qadri expressed his He was happy to participate, praising the development of the Egyptian health sector, which qualifies it for global leadership, the competence of Egyptian doctors, and the Ministry’s success in facing the challenges of population density through effective strategies to improve services.
