The women’s taekwondo team flies to Equatorial Guinea to participate in the G4 World Championship

The delegation of the first Egyptian Taekwondo team left for the city of Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, to participate in the Women’s World Taekwondo Championship, classified as G4, in the period from November 14-16.

 

The first Egyptian team is represented in the tournament by the players: Haneen Rabie and Malak Yasser, under 46 kg, Laila Sherif, under 53 kg, and Jana Khattab, under 53 kg. 53 kg, Shahad Sami, 57 kg, Nadine Amr, 62 kg, Aya Shehata, Shahad Khaled, 67 kg, and Malak Sami, 73 kg, in addition to a technical staff consisting of Captain Mahmoud Abdel Gawad, the team’s coach and the acting head of the delegation, the Turkish team’s coach, Gulsa Olensu, and Dr. Ahmed Massad, the team’s doctor.

 

The Egyptian team’s participation in the tournament comes after the historic participation. The team won the World Championship in China and achieved a gold medal, a bronze medal, and fifth place in the overall standings, and within the framework of the vision of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Taekwondo Federation, headed by Counselor Mohamed Mostafa, for a large number of young team players to participate in various international tournaments to follow them, gain the necessary points, increase international contact, and create a new class and generation of international players to represent the first national team in the next stage within the team preparation program prepared by Engineer Mohamed Agiza, general supervisor of the first national team.
