"Lung health" In a dialogue session entitled "Words and deeds: implementing a World Health Assembly resolution"

The Ministry of Health and Population organized a dialogue session entitled “Words and Deeds: Implementing the World Health Assembly Resolution on Lung Health” within the third edition of the World Conference on Population, Health and Human Development (PHDC25), under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with the slogan “Empowering Individuals, Promoting Progress, Providing Opportunities” in the New Capital (November 12-15, 2025).
Dr. Hossam confirmed Abdul Ghaffar, the official spokesman, said that the session focused on the impact of human factors on lung diseases, and the steps to implement the decision of the 78th session of the World Health Assembly globally, while reviewing the best practices for caring for patients physically, psychologically, and socially.
It reviewed the ministry’s plan for early detection, including the presidential initiative for lung cancer, providing more than 300 CT scan machines and 1,200 X-ray machines, with specialized training for doctors and technicians, and linking hospitals to the PACS system for data collection. Centrally.
It also addressed future efforts by expanding artificial intelligence to improve the accuracy and speed of diagnosis, especially in remote areas, and enhancing prevention through smoking cessation campaigns and raising awareness of lung diseases.
The strategic partnership with the company highlighted the application of artificial intelligence in radiology, supporting lung health clinics, and achieving integration between early detection and rapid treatment in chest hospitals.
