“Al-Abyad” will return from Iraq with a qualification card

National football team defender, Aladdin Zuhair, promised to return from Basra with a ticket to run for the final round of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals.

Zuhair said in statements after the first leg against Iraq: “We presented a first half that was less than required due to the psychological pressures that were on the players. I think we improved in the second half, and we missed many opportunities that could have tipped the balance in our victory.”

He added: “We still have a chance in the return match, and I believe that the two teams have equal chances of qualifying, but we promise our fans that we will achieve victory in that confrontation.”
