The UAE aid convoy for “Children of Olive” enters Gaza

The 244th UAE aid convoy entered the Gaza Strip today as part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3,” carrying on board the “Children of Olive” initiative dedicated to supporting Gaza’s orphans and securing their basic needs, in a new step that reflects the UAE’s continued assistance to our Palestinian brothers.

The convoy consisted of 22 trucks that transported about 426 tons of humanitarian aid, including “Olive Children’s Clothing” parcels intended for children, including new clothes and supplies, in addition to food parcels, rice, and shelter materials that meet the needs of affected families in the Gaza Strip.

Ahmed Al Neyadi, Deputy Director of the Logistics Center for Emirati Humanitarian Aid to Gaza in Al Arish, said: “This convoy carries a special humanitarian dimension, because a large part of it is dedicated to orphaned children in the Gaza Strip through the “Children of Olive” initiative, which included parcels containing new clothes and supplies for the children.. Through Operation “The Gallant Knight 3” we appreciate this great humanitarian effort, and we hope that it will contribute, even in a small way, to bringing smiles and joy to the hearts of the children. The “Children of Olives” initiative was launched last Ramadan by the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Big Heart Foundation and a prominent advocate for refugee children with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, in partnership with the Palestinian Taawon Foundation, with the aim of caring for more than 20,000 orphans in Gaza, and ensuring their right to education, health care, psychological support and basic needs until they reach adulthood.

Within the framework of this campaign, the Big Heart Foundation organized the “Clothes for Olive Children” initiative to provide a children’s supplies box that includes new clothes and needs for the children of Gaza, which contributes to improving their living conditions and bringing a measure of joy to their daily lives in light of the current humanitarian conditions.

The “Children of Olives” campaign embodies a distinctive model of Emirati solidarity and humanitarian solidarity with the children of Gaza. This initiative was implemented in cooperation with Operation “The Gallant Knight 3” to prepare aid boxes and bring them into the Gaza Strip through the logistical center in the city of Al-Arish, within a field work system that ensures that this support reaches those who deserve it as quickly as possible.

The “Children of Olive” convoy comes within a series of convoys and programs implemented by Operation “Gallant Knight 3”, which was launched by the UAE to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through an integrated bridge of air, sea and land aid, with the broad participation of Emirati humanitarian institutions and bodies, which reflects the country’s firm commitment to a humanitarian approach that does not stop at any circumstance or time.

Ahmed Al Neyadi added that Operation “The Gallant Knight 3” is an extension of the UAE’s humanitarian work approach, which embodies the position of the leadership and people of the UAE in standing by the brotherly Palestinian people. He stressed that “The Gallant Knight 3” continues to perform its role in cooperation with various Emirati charitable and humanitarian institutions and bodies, to provide support, support and relief to our people in the Gaza Strip in all available ways and capabilities.

Operation “Gallant Knight 3”, which was launched more than two years ago in response to the directives of the wise leadership, continues its efforts to secure food, medicine, shelter materials, health services, and psychological and social support for the brothers in Gaza. The operation has established an integrated logistics center in the city of Al-Arish, managed by the UAE humanitarian aid team, which works to coordinate and manage relief convoys on an ongoing basis, contributing to the delivery of more than 100,000 tons of aid so far, confirming the UAE’s firm position in Standing by the Palestinian people and alleviating their suffering by all available means.
