The International Paramotor and Skydiving Festival begins from the Giza Pyramids area
The Giza Pyramids witnessed the launch of the International Paramotor and Skydiving Festival under the title “Egypt Air Games”, which is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, and continues until November 27, with the participation of 200 international pilots representing 30 countries from around the world.
The organization of this event comes within the framework of Egypt’s preparations. To host the World Air Sports Championships under the auspices of the International Federation of Air Sports, confirming Egypt’s growing position as a destination capable of hosting international sporting tournaments and events at the highest level.
The festival is organized by a company specialized in organizing air sports events, and its activities are held in a number of the most prominent Egyptian tourist and archaeological destinations, including the areas of the Giza and Saqqara pyramids, Fayoum Governorate, and the cities of Galala, And Hurghada.
Professional aerial photography of these destinations will also be carried out during the festival, highlighting their unique landmarks and contributing to enhancing their global promotion.
For his part, Engineer Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, explained that the Authority’s sponsorship of this event comes within its efforts to enhance the sports tourism product. As one of the tourism types that characterize Egypt, he stressed the Authority’s keenness to support and host major events that highlight the diversity and richness of Egyptian tourism products, especially events of an international nature that attract participants and audiences from various countries.
He added that holding the activities of this festival in several archaeological and tourist sites gives participants a unique opportunity that combines practicing air sports, enjoying viewing ancient archaeological sites, and learning about The diverse tourism components that are unique to the Egyptian destination, which contribute to enhancing Egypt’s attractiveness to fans of air sports and fans of sports tourism.
As part of promoting the Egyptian destination, the Authority will organize a Nile cruise for participants in this event, to enjoy the atmosphere of the Nile River and the stunning landscapes on its banks, providing an integrated experience that reflects the natural and heritage components that Egypt enjoys.
