Nurmagomedov defends his world title against Alfie Davis in Dubai »

Dubai is preparing to host a new international fight night, with the return of the “Road to Dubai” martial arts series organized by the Professional Fighters League (PFL), on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the “Coca-Cola Arena”, as part of the third stop of this series that has become a fixed part of the sports scene in the emirate.
The night of the fight will be headlined by a strong confrontation for the World Lightweight Championship, as champion Usman Nurmagomedov defends his title in his first official defense against Briton Alfie Davis, the 2025 World Lightweight Champion.
The tournament is being held within the framework of existing cooperation between the Dubai Sports Council, the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, and the Professional Fighters Association, which strengthens Dubai’s position as a major center for hosting major tournaments, and a preferred destination for mixed martial arts fans around the world.
Pre-sale of tickets will open today, November 19, while general sale begins on Friday, November 21 at 12:00 noon UAE time.
Nurmagomedov is entering the fight after a series of prominent victories, the most notable of which is his superiority in two consecutive fights against the Irishman Paul Hughes over ten full rounds, presenting a high level of his fighting style between strikes and defensive and offensive wrestling, to confirm his position as one of the most prominent lightweight fighters in the world.
On the other hand, Alfie Davis enters the confrontation with great confidence after being crowned the 2025 World Lightweight Championship, where he was able to overcome the most prominent candidates in three consecutive matches within the tournament, achieving the prize money amounting to 500 thousand dollars. Davis is known for his karate-based style and unexpected movement, with decisive strikes, most notably the spinning elbow that ended the Clay Collard fight.
