Urgent.. President of South Korea: We are working on a comprehensive economic partnership with Egypt
South Korean President Lee Jae-myung confirmed that Egypt is the largest industrial leader in North Africa and a major center linking Africa and the Middle East region, noting that the foundations have been laid to expand the scope of cooperation between the two countries in the economic and social fields, noting that his country has long experience in the development process and embraces large numbers of prestigious international companies.
Myung said during a press conference with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi: " Based on the common understanding that economic cooperation between the two countries has very great potential, Egypt and South Korea agreed to conduct negotiations to reach a comprehensive economic partnership agreement to establish an institutional framework supportive of expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries as soon as possible. The President of the Republic of South Korea noted that Cairo and Seoul have agreed to build a partnership based on mutual benefit in the field of education, in recognition of the great importance that education acquires in achieving development and sustainable growth. Through investing in education, he added that thanks to this common understanding, the countries were able to expand memorandums of understanding in the field of education, and to continue cooperation in the fields of science, Korean language education, vocational and technical education, as well as digital transformation, expressing his aspiration to exchange accumulated knowledge and experiences between the two countries. The two countries, as Egypt and South Korea are among the many cultural powers in the world, as Egypt is a leading country in the field of cultural levels in the Middle East region.
He stressed that cultural exchange between the Egyptian and South Korean peoples plays an important role in developing bilateral relations between the two countries, and for this reason a memorandum of understanding for cultural cooperation was signed to enhance exchange and cooperation in the field of visual arts, museum arts and libraries, expressing his hope that this memorandum will contribute to increasing cultural exchanges. Which the two peoples touch directly.
The President of the Republic of South Korea, Lee Jae-myung, said, “We exchanged views on ways to enhance mutual cooperation in the field of the military defense industry,” explaining that the Korean defense industry raises our country’s flag high, expressing his hope that the scope of cooperation between the two countries in the field of the military industry, which is embodied by joint production between Both countries. The understanding that was signed will enable citizens to benefit directly from its fruits, and a hotline will be established to discuss follow-up procedures for those agreements.
Myung called on President Sisi to visit Korea so that he can witness for himself the development and progress that the country is witnessing and hold discussions and exchange opinions as soon as possible.
