The Korean President said, during his visit today to Cairo University,: “The relations between Egypt and Korea are special relations similar to a brotherly relationship,” noting that the two countries were able, in a relatively short period of time, to achieve great achievements, despite the fact that their civilizational history extends back thousands of years. He added: “Egypt and Korea, in just one generation, have succeeded in building a comprehensive cooperation partnership, and strengthening bilateral ties through increasing trade, investment and cultural exchanges, in addition to exchanging visits between the peoples of the two countries, which contributed to consolidating a solid foundation for joint cooperation.”
The Korean President continued: “ History is a mirror that reflects the present, and I look forward to raising relations between the Republic of Korea and Egypt to higher levels, based on civilization and peace that formed the essence of the two countries’ journey through the ages.
The Korean President expressed his great happiness at visiting Cairo University, saying that the university is ancient, where history and civilization are vibrant, and that it is the first university he has visited in the world since he took office. His position.
He added that the great Egyptian civilization left an immortal legacy in the history of humanity, deriving its strength from the comprehensiveness of the Nile River and its ancient civilization, stressing that Korean culture does not differ in its essence, as it is also based on the values of respect, diversity and inclusion.
The President concluded his speech by emphasizing that the geographical distance exceeding 8,000 kilometers between the two countries did not prevent Egypt from Korea expressed its commitment to “unity of destiny,” describing the relationship as a true connection in the face of a history full of common values and continuous achievements.
